There are so many wonderful things about being a new mommy. Those wonderful things are not very funny though. Do you know what is funny...poop!
Finn has been eating and therefore pooping like a champ. He is gaining weight like crazy and breaking all of the "wimpy white boy" rules. But this story isn't about how awesome Finn is; it's about his poop.
I was changing his diaper and he has had a bit of diaper rash so I had to put cream on him, (probably because he poops all the time) and was holding his legs in the air when it all went wrong! I was putting the new diaper under his bottom when I heard him squirt. I looked down and there was poop everywhere. Then it happened again and when I looked over, I noticed he had pooped on the curtains (the beautiful white linen curtains that his great-grandmother sewed for him!). The curtains are a good two to three feet away from where his butt was. That is some powerful poop! It was disgusting. There was poop on the changing pad, on the dresser, on the wipes and of course on the curtains. I was able to get everything cleaned up and thankfully the stains came out, but I really hope I don't have to go through that again.
